Whats In My Makeup Bag: Spring Essentials

Whats in my makeup bag? It is ever changing! Although I do have a set list of essentials, this spring season I am loving these specific products.

+ Illuminator: Benefit High Beam +
This stuff is like magic in a bottle. It is definitely something everyone should have if that want that dewy, "just woke up but I didn't have to put any makeup on" glow. This is also essential if you want to achieve a contoured look. When I contour my face this is what I use as the "highlight." I put this on the apples of my cheeks, just below my eyebrows, in the middle of my forehead, & on the bridge of my nose. You can get it {here}. Check out exactly where to place highlight in a image tutorial from Hairspray & Highheels {here}.

+ Bronzer: Lorac Tantalizer +
I have been using this sparingly because I could not live without it! It is just one of those products that I will keep buying over & over again. Although this bronzer is slightly on the darker side (I use a different bronzer for winter when my complexion is much lighter), I only use it specifically for spring & summer to capture that sunny glow! It also has a highlight inside of it, which I sometimes use if I just want a slight highlight on the apples of my cheeks because it is not very prominent. I use the bronzer lightly on my cheeks, forehead, & nose. You can get it {here}.

+ Mascara: Loreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions in Black +

I have been using this mascara for years now in some variation. I used to just use the "Telescopic" mascara from Loreal (comes in a gold wand), but the "Shocking Extensions" mascara gives me personally more volume & length. I like blackest black because my lashes are very light in color, but it comes in a variety of neutral colors, get it {here}.

+ Eye Shadow: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette +

I am a sucker for the Naked palettes, as I know a lot of women are. They have so many options to choose from, depending on the mood you are in, whether you are going for a subtle or drastic look. For springtime, I personally like to use my Naked 3 Palette, because it holds both light & dark pinks & purples, which I think are perfect for the spring season. During the day I use the light colors of the palette (Limit, Burnout, & Dust (works wonders to highlight the brow bone!)). For night I tend to steer towards Buzz, Trick (really pretty pinkish/gold with a metallic touch), & Blackheart looks awesome in your lid crease! Check out the full palette & all the colors {here}.

+ Lipstick: Chanel Rouge in Coco +

This is my favorite lip color for sunny days. It is bright, & it really pops! It is a red shade with a peachy/orange tinge. I use it for nights out, but it also works wonders to brighten up a face with minimal makeup. The color doesn't fade for hours & you barely need to reapply. Not to mention the packaging is super cute. Thanks Sophie for the Christmas gift! You can get it {here}.

+ Balm: Revlon Color Burst in Sorbet +

I also can't rave about this enough. I love lip balm. I am a slight lip balm addict. I especially love lip balm with a color tint. This stuff is amazing to keep in your purse. It is definitely tinted, so you need to like color to like this balm. For me, I would choose lip color over mascara, so it is essential to have something to slap on easily at all times. This balm is smooth & not sticky in the least. It is also fairly weightless! You can get it at your local Target or Walmart, & also {here}.

+ Brow: Nyx Eyebrow Pencil in Taupe +

I found this little gem one day in my mom's makeup drawer. I know, right! I told her how much I loved it & she ended up giving it to me. I know that the pencil looks different now, because they changed their packaging, (my photo vs. retail) but it is the same color & style! This color is perfect for me because my brows are a lighter shade, but it comes in a variety of shades based on your brow color. It is easy to apply & when a brow brush is used on top to smooth out the color it creates the perfect edge! Check it out {here}.

+ Contour: Tarte The Sculptor +

I am SO happy with this purchase. So worth every penny! But here is the thing. This product is not easy to use unless you know how to contour. I don't necessarily do the best job at it, but I try (sometimes). I don't use this everyday because lets face it I don't even wear makeup (let alone contour) everyday, but it is fun to create definition for those glamorous nights. I use this with my benefit highbeam, & it creates a very defined, sculpted look. It comes with a tutorial & they recommend the contour brush to go with it, but I either just use my fingers to blend when I am lazy otherwise I have a contour brush from previous. I found this contour stick when it was displayed in  a tutorial for contouring, it is definitely one of the best. Get it {here}.

Do any of you guys use these products as well? Let me know if you want to see any tutorials from F4F utilizing these products! They are too good not to share with all of you this spring season. XX
