Hey Guys! Happy Thanksgiving! Hope everyone had a joyous (& delicious) filled turkey day! I wanted to do a blog post to give some details into life lately with the home reno. We have not updated too many people on the details of our move, because we are still in the process of it! We sold our first home in August (which was kind of hard- if anyone knows me I don't do well with change, & I was kind of attached to our "little" space!) but we knew it was for the best & it is such a blessing, & I am SO happy to be able to be doing what we are now!

We ended up buying Jordan's parents home, (yes! the home he grew up in!) & we are doing a little Flip or Flop/Fixer Upper to it! Jordan has always dreamed of flipping a home. Little do I know about construction, & remodeling, but Jordan actually grew up doing home remodels, so things have been widely directed by him & our contractor! (Hand me a paint brush, because that is pretty much what I can bring to the home-flipping party! ;))

We are planning on moving in in the next couple months or so, so obviously we have been browsing some furniture stores, along with doing a lot of online browsing to see what is out there for furniture on a budget. Pinterest & the blogging world have been so inspiring, but sometimes these favorite "looks" of mine can come with some pretty pricey pieces & with all this heavy duty house work we definitely aren't looking for anything too outrageous right now.

I have found a few sites & stores that deem to have some amazing furniture that look great & are not on the UBER expensive side!
My favorite stores with reasonable prices right now include: Wayfair, Overstock, One Kings Lane, Home Goods, Target (particularly their Threshold collection), TJ Maxx, & Hobby Lobby.

We are kind of all over the board with knit-picking a "favorite" look for the whole house, but we have seen some amazing spaces that incorporate a mix of multiple styles! I know that we are definitely swooning over the color white... & that we want everything to revolve around comfort & warmth!

Because it is Black Friday today, I am going to link my home decor favorites below - along with some major black friday deals & sales that have some of these items for WAY way less!

Current Home Decor Favorites: For Less!

luxe home.

+Faux Fur Pillow Covers: Pottery Barn {here}. Check them out for WAY less here at Pier 1!+

+Ornate Mirrors: I have found some on Etsy, HomeGoods, & this particular one from Wilko can be found {here}.+

+Mirrored Nightstands: These can go for a very pretty penny. They are so beautiful! & make any room feel bigger. This particular stand is from Pottery Barn & can be found {here}. I found one at Overstock today for 67% off! What a steal. Check it out {here}.+

+Bar Cart: A Bar Cart is so adorable & is a really great way to put your special glassware/cutesy art on display & a good way to add a pop of color to a neutral room. I am looking at these Threshold ones currently at Target {here}. Here is one at Wayfair for 67% off!+

+Peonies & Glass Table Vases: Fresh flowers strewn throughout the house in glass vases is such a simple & classic look that adds romance & freshness to any room. This table vase can be found at John Lewis {here}.+

+Ghost Stools: I am kind of an acrylic fanatic right now. Stools, chairs, bar stools, desks, anything really suits my fancy! These stools can be found for under $150 {here}.+

+Faux Antler Wall Mounts: I have seen these all over & they are a super adorable way to add something to some drab walls! This one is at Dot & Bo for 36% off {here}.+

+Cowhide Rugs: I have been looking at a variety of cowhide rugs for our house since before I even knew we were moving! I have always loved this look but it just didn't go with my old houses rooms. Get this one for a reasonable price {here}.+

+Glass Bubble Lamp: I love bubble lamps, especially to spice up a nightstand. I love them in all colors but particularly in clear, & you can get a pair on sale for less then $100 at Wayfair right now! Check these out {here}.+

+Votive Holders: These look so beautiful on a mantle and/or a coffee table to romanticize any room. I love these ones from Pier 1 {here}.+

+Bar Cart Art: Isn't this just perfect for above your bar cart? bar? really actually anywhere? I absolutely love hand-made art from Etsy & I pretty much search their website daily for cutesy signs to hang around the home. They are very reasonably priced as well.+

+Pretty Packaged Candles: I think that a perfectly packaged candle can add something to any room. I know, these Tom Dixon's aren't the best "on a budget options" but they are just so pretty! & the candles shown here come in a gift set of 3. For a cheaper option, I also love Bath & Body Works- they have some awesome deals & have some amazing scents.+

All of these items are at the top of my "wish list" for the new home. I think put together or separate each of them could add a little flair to a drab space! Pictured below are some of my favorite rooms for inspiration online right now, they are definitely dreamy! I could decor search all day.

Won't ever get up to these standards, but a girl can dream, am I right? I can't wait to update everyone on the room changes as they occur. Right now it is basically drywall & studs, so I can't really show changes yet, but I will update as they move along! Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving & has a wonderful start to their holiday season. xx

My sister's home is very modern like this one. I love the fireplace and the laundry room floor. The modern touches that were put into this have made it truly amazing. Another thing is it looks very clean sense white was used as the color for almost everything. Not only does it look clean, but very spacious and cozy.
