NYBFW: Bridal Market in NYC

Guys! I can't wait to share with you all the hustle, bustle, & excitement of not only going to the big city (I absolutely love NYC), but also going to bridal fashion week with the one & only: Flutter Boutique! Still feels pretty surreal, & it went by way too quickly. Each day was filled to the brim with appointments, bookings, beautiful gowns, friendly faces, shows, amazing food, & so much more!

The night we arrived it was rainy & pretty chilly so we decided we didn't want to walk around too much. We ended up going to a restaurant where Kolby's (Kolby is my sister in-law/owner of Flutter) relative is the head chef, & it was amazing! So many fresh, warm, inviting courses. The restaurant is called Foragers, & their farm-to-table menu is absolutely delightful. Heirloom pumpkin soup, roasted chicken, deviled farm fresh eggs, sherry vinaigrette salads, & a bottle of red filled our table, & after 3 hours of chatting & eating we were delivered a tray of assorted cookies, tarts, & mousses to savor into the next hour! We couldn't believe how amazing everything was.

The next morning we woke up early to head to the Pier for our first appointments of the day. I was in heaven! A room filled with beautiful gowns, shoes, jewels, & intricately detailed sets. All the designers had their booths set up beautifully, with their prized pieces on display via their models/mannequins.

We stopped at Durga-Kali to check out her new collection of reversible bridesmaids dresses! I thought that the concept was perfect for women that want to wear their gowns again & again! The comfort level seems to be a 10 & I loved how many options she has for brides that may want a mix & match style for their bridesmaids. Check out this jewel toned blue long sleeve dress that I felt like I wanted to take home & wear this fall with tights!

We spent the rest of the afternoon cabbing it to Shake Shack, (I can't believe I had never had this before, it was actually amazing!), & strolling through Central Park. We walked the length of the park & took in all the people watching, it was so beautiful & I was surprised by how many people were out exercising & enjoying the great weather mid-day! We also took a quick stop at the Central Park Boathouse (think 27 dresses, the place they fight over having their weddings...), & had a delightful glass of rose!

We moved into evening visiting Ivy & Aster at their trunk show, where we saw their collection. I love how whimsical & delicate their designs are, with an added romanticism & sexy boldness! Following Ivy & Aster Kolby & Karla were all about visiting the rolled ice cream shop that has brought many people from all over to see their show! 10Below is a very small ice cream shop in China Town, they hand roll their ice cream for the crowd to see, & let me tell you- the line was down the block! I enjoyed eyeing up the different flavors as people strolled out with their treats.
