White After Labor Day

Ladies! Labor Day came & went, but that doesn't mean you have to completely cut white from your closet. I am a firm believer in white after labor day. I don't care what everyone says, to me this fashion "don't" is more like a fashion "do" if done correctly! This little white cutout dress is the perfect example paired with suede wedges & a light jacket. I'm not saying this look can be dragged too far into the season, but don't hex out your white-wear just yet! For example: white jeans paired with a slouchy sweater, light denim jacket, booties, & a blanket scarf (similar ex: {here}) make for the perfect fall casual look, or a LWD underneath a neutral colored trench (ex: {here}) could be perfect for a night out or for dressed up workwear. I also adore all white/light colors for fall/early winter! I think it looks so chic in the crisp weather. This outfit {here} is serious #goals for the season- blush trench, light grey oversized scarf, cigarette white jeans, with dark accents? Yes. Yes please.

A few tips for wearing white this Fall/early Winter season: If you are going to wear white denim, make it appropriate for the weather. Pair it with an oversized sweater/similar neutral colored turtleneck, black/white slouchy top with black leather jacket, booties, or an oversized scarf. Opt out of the delicate camisoles with a light sweater "look." This will make your outfit more season appropriate.

If wearing a white dress, pair with a light jacket, trench coat, floor length sweater, or oversized scarf. A white dress can also look more Fall appropriate when paired with suede/leather- more winterized booties.

Mix textures. If you feel as though your "white" outfit is too white to be season appropriate; mix leather, lace, knit, fur, etc. together to give your outfit depth. A perfect example can be seen in this outfit {here}.

I fell in love with this cutout dress from Make Me Chic this last month & I absolutely had to get it despite the fact that Summer is coming to a close! I knew I would be able to carry it with me through the Fall season, if done correctly. I adore the peter pan collar, a-line skirt, & barely there cutouts for a formal day-time event (paired with a jacket of course), or for someone who wants to go a little workwear chic for their time at the office. The buttons, mesh, & eyelet material add so much texture & detail to any outfit! I love the fact that this Fall I could wear this with a slouchy knit, light jacket, or trench- but that I can also carry it through to the Spring/Summer months next season. Make Me Chic is always up to date with the latest trends & they have some seriously cute clothes. Their website is super easy to navigate & everything is really reasonably priced! Check out their website {here}.

I have so many posts coming up for this season. Fall is my absolute fave. I ADORE fall-wear. Who doesn't love to layer? Stay tuned! As always, thanks for stopping in. Xx E.
