New Years Eve Outfit Inspo

The champagnes almost popped & the balls almost dropped! NYE is here! Thank the lawd. Can we all agree 2016 was kind of a whirlwind of a year to say the least? I can confidently say that I am ready for 2017; that is a big FOR SURE! Ladies (& gents- if you so please), I know that if you are like me- you already have your NYE outfit picked out for your night out on the town (or night in- with that special someone). Even though you may have the basis of your look planned out, I thought I would provide you lovelies with some additives that might make your outfit that much more glitzy & glam for one of the most looked forward to evenings of the year! + I threw in my own inspo from a shoot with Kellie last week in her new Studi-yoooo. Her new space is so cute, & quaint, & perfect for that newborn/engagement/senior/headshot session when you may not want to brave the nasty weather outside! I have had tons of compliments on this black lace romper from Francesca's, & I decided to add a little fur, & red flair (thanks to the help of all my friends on Snap) to pull the look completely together. Although I won't be able to wear this out this year- I am actually heading out for a weekend at the hospital, this is definitely what I would be throwing together for this NYE! With that being said, lets talk some NYE additives that might make your outfit that much more chic before you head out tonight!

Kate Moss via The LV Guide

1. Fur
This can be such a chic old-school additive, don't you agree? It reminds of Grace Kelley, Greta Garbo, & all of the most glamorous of starlets. Add fur in the form of a stole, scarf, shoe, or vest. You can always take it off throughout the evening when you start to heat up!

Dress the Population Sequin BodyCon Dress via Nordstrom

2. Sequins (duh)
I don't even need to explain myself here. Sequins, duh. Glitter, sequins, glitzy anything screams NYE. The end.

Fleur Lace Bustier via Nasty Gal

3. Lace
Lace can bring a large amount of sex appeal to your outfit. I love lacey little things with more reserved pieces mixed in. Do you want to wear a lace bodysuit or bustier? Add a knee length skirt or high waisted pants to make it less over the top. A lace romper or dress can do the trick just as well! Add tights if you don't want to be too risqué!

Red Heel Pop via Uptown with Helly Brown

4. Pops of Color
I love red heels as a pop of color, but any color will do! Adding a little something to your all black/white/nude/neutral outfit can bring a lot to the table. If you already have a neutral pair of heels picked out, consider raiding your closet for your sassiest pair of heels/flats & add a little color into the mix!

Cara Velvet Blazer via Tobi

5. Velvet
I have a slight, no huge- obsession with velvet right now. I love velvet in the form of pants (did you guys see my velvet pants I rocked on Christmas?- refer to IG (@emilybfahlsing)- obsessed), dresses, rompers, bodysuits....everything! Velvet heels are also HUGE on the market right now, & adding these to your outfit could go a long way. I will link some below for some eye candy!

*My romper is sold out at Francesca's but I have linked MULTIPLE similar ones below, also this one is pretty spot on {here}. I have also linked a ton of these "additives" I listed above, below in the scroll bar! Be sure to check them out!*

All of these additives would be sure to make your outfit that much more NYE ready! Do you guys have any of these ideas already correlated into your outfit? I can't wait to see everyones outfits this NYE! I will be living vicariously through all of you. Drink lots of champs for me. Okay? PS: If you guys need dress shopping ideas for any other occasions you have this winter, be sure to check out Tobi, Lulu's, Nasty Gal (select items are 80% off right now)!, & Missguided. These have been my go-to's for dress shopping (especially when it comes to some adorbs dresses without breaking the bank). + these "additives" I shared for you could apply to any gala event you have this season! Cheers to you- & a BIG Cheers to 2017! Lets hope this year starts off with a bang! In a good way. Scratch that- 2016! ;)

Happy New Years Babes! Love you all. Xx E.
